# Waste2Worth

**Status: in development. Repository: public. Live deployment: not verified.**

Waste2Worth is a sustainability platform for analyzing waste, finding reuse services, browsing marketplace listings, and generating upcycling ideas from text or images.

## How it works

```text
Browser UI
  → static frontend
  → Express backend
  → configured AI provider(s)
  → Supabase persistence and image storage
  → result shown in the frontend
```

The frontend and backend can be deployed separately. Supabase stores application data and image references; server-only credentials belong in backend environment variables.

## Features documented in the repository

- Image-based waste analysis through a configurable backend provider chain.
- Text/material upcycling ideas from supported AI providers when configured.
- Image scans that can identify multiple objects and suggest individual or combined projects.
- Search links for external project inspiration.
- Marketplace, services, dashboard, profile, authentication, and admin pages.
- Supabase persistence and storage integration.
- A standalone offline static demo.

## What is not confirmed

No production URL or live API deployment was found. Provider credentials and Supabase configuration are required for connected features. Repository documentation says invalid or unavailable AI providers may be skipped or reported as unavailable; this page does not claim that every provider is configured or that the online flows have been independently tested.

Never commit runtime `.env` files or expose the Supabase service-role key in frontend code.
